We do not fly at one fixed spot. Your flight location is hand-picked for every session based on current weather and wind to ensure the best possible FPV environment.

Setup & Safety
We meet at the day's chosen site to review the aircraft and safety protocols. Goggles are fitted and systems calibrated.

Visual Flight Skills
Learn the controls while watching the drone from the ground. Practice hovers and turns with your coach nearby.

Immersive FPV
Put the goggles on and you see exactly what the drone sees, like sitting in the cockpit. This is the main part of the session.

Full Control
Take full control and fly smooth lines and low turns, with your instructor beside you the whole time, ready to take over.

I'm Chris, and I have spent over six years flying drones for high-stakes work.
My background is in professional commercial operations: infrastructure, cell towers, and precision inspections. This is flying where accuracy is mandatory. I have over a thousand hours on the controls and am still logging more.
FPV is my favorite way to fly, and it's why I started Monterey FPV. I wanted to share that feeling with people who would never otherwise get the chance to pilot one of these drones.
When you fly with me, you are with a professional. Safety is not just a card I read; it is a habit built over years. We start at your pace with a full briefing and guided warm-up. We do not rush, and we only go into the goggles when you feel fully prepared to take the lead. Sessions start at $79 for First Flight (30 minutes), $149 for Full Send (1 hour), and $279 for a Group Flight with up to 4 pilots.
