We don’t fly from one fixed spot. Every session happens at a private outdoor location around Monterey, chosen for that day’s weather and conditions.

Why We Pick the Spot Based on Weather
Conditions on the Monterey Peninsula can change from one area to the next. Coastal fog might sit over one spot while another is clear, and wind can be calm in one place and gusty in another. Before each session, we look at the forecast for wind, fog, and visibility and choose the spot that gives you the safest, smoothest flight.

What the Flying Spot Is Like
Expect open space, few people, and plenty of room to fly. Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes and bring a layer, since it can be cool and breezy near the coast.

How You’ll Know Where to Go
Once your flight is booked, we'll send you the exact meeting spot and directions before your flight. All of our flying spots are an easy drive from Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel, and Seaside.

Weather Policy
If wind or low visibility makes flying unsafe, we'll move your flight to a better spot or reschedule it at no extra cost.

Drive times from the peninsula
From Monterey
~25 minutes
Easy drive from downtown Monterey, Cannery Row, and Fisherman's Wharf, mostly on the highway.
From Carmel
~30 minutes
From Carmel-by-the-Sea or Pebble Beach. A scenic stretch through the Monterey Peninsula countryside.
From San Jose
~75 minutes
South on 101 or Highway 1. An easy day trip from the South Bay.
